Carl B. Anderson IV

President

As president of Larkspur, Carl oversees the firm's development activities, including site selection and acquisition, due diligence, project design, securing entitlements, and project execution. Since founding Larkspur, Carl has led development and acquisition projects across land, office, retail, multifamily, and condominium property types. His prior experience includes roles in real estate private equity, where he worked on acquisitions and development projects exceeding $3 billion.

Carl’s previous roles include acquisitions, development, and asset management positions at Fortress Investment Group LLC (NYSE: FIG), C-III Capital Partners LLC, and E2M Partners LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance from New York University, where he graduated with distinction (top 10%).
Carl serves on the City of Dallas Development Advisory Committee, chairs The Real Estate Council's Planning & Development Group, is a board member of the Deep Ellum Tax Increment Financing District, and is a Trustee on the board of the Deep Ellum Foundation/Public Improvement District. He's a past member of SMU’s Young Alumni Board and was president of the SMU New York City Young Alumni Chapter.
